POEMS

True Greatness Poet: C.E. Flynn
A man is as great as the dreams he dreams,
as great as the love he bears;
As great as the values he redeems,
and the happiness he shares.

A man is as great as the thoughts he thinks,
as the worth he has attained;
As the fountains at which his spirit drinks,
and the insight he has gained.
A man is as great as the truth he speaks,
as great as the help he gives,
As great as the destiny he seeks,
as great as the life he lives.

Recipe for Greatness
Poet: Zane Grey

To bear up under loss;
to fight the bitterness of defeat and the weakness of grief;
to be victor over anger;
to smile when tears are close;
to resist disease and evil men and base instincts;
to hate hate and to love love,
to go on when it would seem good to die;
to look up with unquenchable faith in something ever more about to be.
That is what any man can do, and so be great.
